Justin Lewis serves as a conductor in the United States Air Force Band program. He currently conducts the Air Force Heritage of America Band at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, an ensemble that performs at over 300 events for half a million people annually throughout the east coast. Lewis also serves as conductor-in-residence of the Virginia Choral Society and Music Director of the Voices of Hampton Roads. Justin recently guest conducted the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square in Salt Lake City. In the past season, he has also conducted bands from Norway, France, Australia and the United Kingdom at the Virginia International Tattoo, and has led members of the United States Army Training and Doctrine Command Band as well as the Wind Ensemble from the College of William and Mary.
Lewis has conducted the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District Orchestra Festivals and served as Music Director of the Mormon Orchestra of Washington, D.C. and led the orchestra and choir in acclaimed performances at the Strathmore Music Center.
Lewis holds a masters degree in orchestral conducting at Penn State University where he had the privilege of serving as a musical director of the Penn State Sinfonietta and Penn State's 35-member Cello Choir. He has also served as Assistant Conductor of the Penn State Philharmonic and Penn State Chamber Orchestra. Lewis has conducted the Central Pennsylvania Youth Orchestra, the Wednesday Club Youth Chamber Orchestra, the Temple University Symphony and the Temple University Chamber Orchestra.
